This old tree is in the middle of the semi-desert in ....YES YOU GUESSED....Damaraland. It is the only big tree around. I think the roots must have been blown or maybe even earth erosion by water over hundreds of years? Jeff and a friend gives you an estimate of the size I'm talking about? I wonder where my friend Ken is at this moment? It's the first time in months I'm touching a PC.

This is Bea and 2 friends in the heart of Damaraland in a mud pool. I stepped in to take a photo and trust me the mud is much deeper than the water! I sank into mud reaching the top of my legs! The kids couldn't stand up because they just sank right into the mud, right up to their necks. It was a lovely summer day in winter and it cooled us down. I couldn't touch the camera after this photo!!! We had a mud fight.

This picture I took on sunday - about 20 meteres from the dino-tracks. It is such a serene, peacefull picture that just makes me long to go back, and lie in the warm sun with my toes in the water... This is Bea and Jeff just before they get hungry and tired and not in the mood for anymore dino-tracks - lol

Dinosaur Footprints @ Ojihenamaparero
These 30 + footprints were left by a dinosaur (CERATOSAURIA) who possible belonged to the larger order of Therapoda - which comprises all the carnivores! Thse tracks were about 190 million years old!
We were very "impressed" with these footprints and it was easy to imagine the dinosaurs walking amongst us in the spec of time. This one must have been as tall as a giraffe apparently.
The kids are now defiantely "hooked" on dinosaurs and fossils.
We also saw the smaller dinosaur tracks (SYNTARSUS) that were spread out everywhere.

My son Jeff climbed to the top of Waterberg Plato all on his own. I didn't carry him once. Unbelievable. The one lady we met up on the mountain said: How did that small child get up here. I was so proud of him.

We all are...some of us,
just worse than others,
or maybe worse off than others?
Or maybe some of us don't recognise
happiness when it bites us on the bottom!
Maybe we should all LOVE the moment in
time wer'e in?
