This old tree is in the middle of the semi-desert in ....YES YOU GUESSED....Damaraland. It is the only big tree around. I think the roots must have been blown or maybe even earth erosion by water over hundreds of years? Jeff and a friend gives you an estimate of the size I'm talking about? I wonder where my friend Ken is at this moment? It's the first time in months I'm touching a PC.

This is Bea and 2 friends in the heart of Damaraland in a mud pool. I stepped in to take a photo and trust me the mud is much deeper than the water! I sank into mud reaching the top of my legs! The kids couldn't stand up because they just sank right into the mud, right up to their necks. It was a lovely summer day in winter and it cooled us down. I couldn't touch the camera after this photo!!! We had a mud fight.
